Halloween

Faux Pumpkin Topiary

Halloween is my all time fav holiday! I get a little crazy around this time of year, inventing some new decor to haunt my house. I made a couple of these last week…..
So here’s my HOW-TO……
Just get some faux pumpkins from your local craft store. I painted them with acrylic paint. The “P” was made from sticky glitter foam paper, I cut it out with a template. Not an easy thing to do if your X-Acto knife is dull, but I think it came out pretty good! Then next I cut the tops off of the two bottom pumpkins. Then hot glued black tulle and a feather boa to the top of the two bottom pumpkins. I am using a dowel to hold them together. I used a drill to make the holes in the bottom center of the bottom two pumpkins.
Now I did paint the back of these pumpkins with scarier scenes for the Halloween holiday, so I can just turn them around for that. Then I put some grey moss in the bottom of an urn and Viola!
I am going to add a faux crow to the top for Halloween too. See next post for pic of back of topiary. Please check out the rest of my blog for more easy Halloween project ideas.
