Faux Pumpkin Topiary

Halloween is my all time fav holiday! I get a little crazy around this time of year, inventing some new decor to haunt my house. I made a Faux Pumpkin Topiaries, but not just any topiaries, one side is cute with pretty stripes and one side is spooky and scary! Here’s my how I did it~

Faux Pumpkin Topiary

Supplies:

  • Faux Pumpkins
  • small urn
  • moss
  • floral foam
  • black acrylic paint
  • black feather boa
  • black tulle
  • 2 dowels
  • drill
  • sharp knife
  • hot glue & gun

Instructions:

I painted the pumpkins with all the designs by hand with black acrylic paint. The “P” was made from sticky glitter foam paper. On your computer print out a letter using Word and cut the center out with an x-acto knife. Use this as a template to cut your letter out of the glitter foam. Let them dry.

Cut the tops off of the two middle and two bottom pumpkins with a sharp knife. Drill holes in the bottom center of the bottom and middle pumpkins. Hot glue the black tulle and the feather boa to the top edges of the two bottom pumpkins. Feed the dowel through the holes to hold them together. Hot glue floral foam into the urn. Stick the end of the dowel into the foam in the urn so it is secure. Add you moss and you are done!

The back of them have scarier scenes for a Spooky Halloween and a sweeter paint job for not so scary Halloween.
