Spray Painted JewelryHere is a super simple update you can do with jewelry you already have, but just don’t wear very much. I love the look of white and color blocking, so I chose to turn some of my old jewelry fav’s in to a new super cute Spring look! My favorite is the wood beaded necklace with white paint! It came out soo cute!

Supplies:

Instructions:

Spray painted color block braceletWrap the areas that you do not want the paint to go on with the painters tape. Make sure all areas are sealed.

Painted acrylic Bead Bracelet

For the necklaces: I wrapped my painters tape on the areas to block the paint and placed it inside a ziplock bag and sealed around the area to be painted.

Spray painted wood bead necklaceI used three coats of paint. Spray lightly and build up the layers. Let the paint dry completely before turning over. Or better yet hang them to dry if you can.

I then hung everything on a ruler from my kitchen counter with a book to anchor it to let them dry over night. Remove tape and enjoy! Super easy up-do!

These turned out pretty cool but does the spraypainted jewelry bother the skin? Or come off eventually on clothes? Do you spray it with a sealer?

    1. Hi Rosanna,
Once the paint dries throughly it does not bother your skin. Spray paint is tacky until dry. It does not wear off on clothes. You can use an acrylic sealer if you like.

  3. Great idea. I can see using this on some old costume jewelry I have. It will breathe new life into it. I’m stopping by from the Let’s Get Real Friday Link Party. Thanks so much for joining us this week. I hope you join us again this week.

  4. Hi Kim! I’m stopping in from Let’s Get Real today. This so clever! I would never have thought to paint jewelry. This is perfect for my daughter. I don’t buy expensive jewelry for her and her tastes change each season. She is going to love this!
