Beef Tips w/ Mushroom Gravy & Rice
Easy stovetop or slow cooker dish. Beef Strips slow cooked with mushrooms and onions until tender.

  • 1lb of beef strips
  • 1 medium onionsliced thin
  • 1 small package of fresh mushroomssliced
  • 2 cans of Franco American Mushroom Gravy {See other gravy optionsnotes below}.
  • 1/2 of a packet Lipton Recipe SecretsDry Onion Mushroom Soup
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Brown rice
  • 2tbsp Optional: Cooking Sherry
  1. In a deep fry pan on med-high heat lightly brown the beef strips, tossing 1-2 min.
  2. Add onions and all of the mushrooms.
  3. Add the two cans of gravy and the Lipton Soup mix.
  4. Add the Cooking Sherry.
  5. Stir to blend.
  6. Heat until it’s a bubbly boil.
  7. Turn heat down to low, cover and simmer for 1 hour until the beef is fork tender.
  8. Make the rice as per directions.
  9. Serve beef and gravy over rice.
Recipe Notes

You can substitute the Franco American Mushroom Gravy with other brands of gravy, beef or mushroom. Another option is 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup & 1 can of water. This can be made in a slow cooker on High to Low for 3 to 4 hours or until fork tender. Be careful not to not overcook in slow cooker.
