Super Easy Asian Slaw with Ginger Dressing

Asian Slaw with Ginger Dressing madeinaday.comToday I am sharing with you my latest lunch addiction! I actually think about making this awesome slaw constantly. I feel silly buying multiple bags of slaw at the store trying to get the best use by date so I always have it on hand. I just love it and I hope you will too.

Back in May I posted my Pinterest Pic of the Week post about Asian Slaw with Peanut-Ginger Dressing. I tried it and fell in love, but I didn’t love all the ingredients you had to keep on hand to make it.

That’s when I found these awesome Asian Slaw mixes at the grocery store. They come with the ginger dressing already made inside!!! Woot! Yay! So here’s my super quick version of that great recipe!

Easy Asian Slaw with Ginger Dressing
Easy Asian Slaw with Ginger Dressing
Servings
Ingredients
  • 1 bag Asian Chopped Salad {make sure it's cabbage and includes Ginger Dressing and a nut & Asian noodles packet}
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • Fresh Cilantro
  • 1/2 package frozen shelled Edamame then cooked by manufacturers directions.
  • Grilled Chicken Strips {my favorite is Kirklands Brand from Costco}

  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • Fresh Cilantro

Easy Asian Slaw with Ginger Dressing
Instructions
  1. Empty the slaw from the kit into a large bowl.
  2. Add the Ginger Dressing packet.
  3. Drizzle honey over the dressing and slaw.
  4. Add your nut and crunchy noodle packet. I sometimes I skip the noodles to keep the calories down.
  5. Add a hand full of chopped fresh cilantro.
  6. Sprinkle on half the Edamame and toss.
  7. Let the salad marinate for 20-30 minutes in refrigerator.
Recipe Notes

Serve with grilled chicken. You could also serve this in a wrap or it would be awesome with chicken or fish tacos. Enjoy!

  2. I eat that Asian salad nearly everyday for lunch. I like the Sams Club variety better than the Walmart and the price is much better. I am always doctoring it up with leftover rotisserie chicken (from Sams) or blueberries, strawberries or mandarin oranges.
