Have you heard the buzz yet about the Hometalk & Michaels Pinterest Party?
It is one of my favorite Websites and Communities. Bloggers, Professionals and Do it Yourselfers are all there! You can see how to do almost anything that has to do with DIY for the home! There’s everything from refurbishing and plumbing, to interior design, outdoors and patios, to organizing and appliances, plus so much more. The best part is if you have a question or need advice you can ask a professional!! It’s like having a hardware store at your fingertips!
Chalkboard Clipboard Banner & Sign
Chalkboard Clipboard Banner Sign
Materials found in Michaels Crafts Stores:
- Recollections Chalkboard Paper Pad Chalkboard Banner
- 4 Chalk Clipboards, ArtMinds Chalkboard Stand
- Recollections chalkboard pens
- MambiCHIPS Chalkboard Alphabet Letters
- Recollections large clip Pins
- Recollections Chevron Washi Tape
- Studio 18 Shape tape round stickers
- Jute rope, twine, ruler and chalk
The Font I used for the Chalkboard clipboards is Handy George.
To make the chalkboard clipboards for the banner, find a font on a photo editor, write the word you choose to use and print them out on a paper to use as a guide. Use a ruler and draw the letters with regular chalk.
Then go back over the letters, still using your ruler as a guide with a white chalkboard pen.
Take the chalkboard banner paper and cut a strip off of each side of the banner with scissors, to make the slender center strip.
Add the Studio 18 Shape tape dots randomly to the strips and tie the Clipboards to a strip of jute rope with the jute twine.
Add wide Chevron Washi tape to the clips and trim with scissors. Add your chalk banner strips using the clip pins.
Add the Recollection Chalkboard letter stickers to your ArtMind Chalkboard stand and draw hearts with chalk.
I hope you enjoyed my project!
Stop by Michaels and make one with me!
