This week I decided to revamp the kids bathrooms. I had two undesirable bathrooms that had definitely seen better days. We have been living in this house for 8 years, I spent the last two days repainting, scrubbing the floors and just getting rid of the built up grime.

I refreshed my daughters bathroom with a light tan color. She picked out a light pink Ikat print shower curtain and a rug.

I don’t know about you, but lately I’ve been obsessed with monograms, preferably the round ones, my daughter showed me a few phone apps that make wallpaper for your phone using these monograms. Today I am here to show you an easy way to use these apps to make a wall stencil, using a Silhouette Cameo, for your home not just your phone!

iPhone apps: Marley Lily, Monogram it and Monogram lite are my favs, {my stencil was made using the Marley Lily app}

Make your monogram using one of the three apps listed above, make the background solid color. Email it to yourself.Upload the graphic on your Silhouette Cameo Studio. Click trace and select the monogram to be traced.

Pull the highlighted monogram out of the app background and discard the background image. Ungroup the letters and resize to the desired stencil size. Mine are large enough to fit inside a 12×12 mat on Silhouette Studio.

Feed the Silhouette brand stencil material into your machine and select the correct blade and cut settings. After the cut is finished, remove the inner letters and peel off the backing of your stencil. Place the stencil to the wall, pressing down tightly so the stencil is snug and flush.

Paint Round Monogram Stencil

Lightly paint or sponge on the acrylic paint. I prefer to remove my stencils immediately after applying enough paint, to prevent bleeding under the stencil.

Touch up the edges, let it dry and your done! This came out so cute! My daughter just loves her one of a kind stencil! I hope you will too! #SilhouetteCAMEO #SilhouetteRocks
