It’s a few days until Easter and I decided I needed to get cracking on my egg decor! Copper seems to be what I am into lately and since I loved how my copper pumpkins turned out last October, I figured why not make some copper and glitter eggs for Easter.
I found these awesome faux eggs that you can color or dye with vinegar like normal eggs. How cool are they? No more draining yokes from shells or cracked hard boiled funky rainbow eggs that remain uneaten and get thrown away. These are great for holiday home decor. Here’s how I made them~

Copper Easter Egg Decorating
- Faux craft eggs or real eggs
- Metallic Copper Acrylic Paint
- Metallic Copper glitter, large & small
- Blue painters tape
- Gorilla wood glue
- Paint brushes
To add glitter to the eggs: simply paint glue over half of the egg and pour glitter over the egg. Shake off the excess. Let it dry.
To add the polka dots: paint small dots over half of the egg, then pour glitter over the glue and shake off excess. After the top half dries paint dots on the bottom of the egg and let it dry. And that’s it!
I love these cool faux eggs. How cute would they be for a display in your home?
