Looking for a sparkling way to dress up your pumpkins this fall? My Glamorous Confetti…
Have you seen all the copper decor trends popping up this year? It’s been awhile since I made a pumpkin craft and since I haven’t gone copper yet, I figured what a great way to paint a pumpkin! These would make a beautiful Thanksgiving Day tablescape just pop! These pumpkins really are a simple project to do, just paint, tape off, paint again and you are done! Here’s what you need to make these beauties!
Copper Top Pumpkins
- 2 FloraCraft® Foam Pumpkins
- Acrylic paint~ Martha Stewart Metallic Rose Copper
, Folkart Acrylic Paint Color: Skintone, brown
- Blue painters tape
- Paint brushes
- Glitter Extra fine and regular size glitter in copper
- Elmers Glue and/or spray glue
Paint two coats all over your pumpkins with the Skintone Acrylic paint and let it dry.
Take painters tape and mark off where you are going to paint the copper color. Paint above the tape with the metallic copper paint. Let it dry. paint your stems brown.
I wasn’t sure if I should cover them with glitter or not. I liked them with the copper tops, but the glitter got the best of me so I went ahead and added it!
Apply the adhesive with a paint brush and pour the fine glitter on the first knock off excess glitter and let it dry. Spray with spray glue and add some of the larger copper glitter. And that’s it! They came out so shiny and pretty. I even spooked them up by adding a lace masquerade mask for Halloween!
