Remember back in June when I made the Darth Vader Sharpie Mug? Well, I had two of those big green coffee mugs and since it’s October, it’s only fitting I would make myself a Frankenstein Monster mug!! I’m giggling as I write this, I can’t believe I am posting this.
This DIY literally took 10 whole minutes to make and I’m the first to admit he’s not perfect. Hand drawing on slick round surfaces can be pretty tricky. But the Frankenstein monster is not supposed to be perfect or exact anyway!
Think you can’t do it? Just take your time and think about what you want to draw, then apply it to the mug. This project would make great Halloween party favors, fill them with candy and other goodies and send your guests home with one of kind gift. Here’s how I made him~
DIY Frankenstein Sharpie Mug
Supplies:
- Large green mug
- Black & Red Sharpie pens
- Rubbing Alcohol
- Q-tips
- Baby wipes
Instructions:
Make sure your mug is clean free from oil. Give it a quick wash if needed.

Start drawing the hair along the top of the mug.

Next, add the droopy eyes and a mouth.

Fill in the spaces with dark accents, a nose, add wrinkles to the forehead and don’t forget a scar!
After applying the ink wait 24 hours. Then put your mug in a cold oven. Turn on the oven temp to 425 degrees and set the timer for 30 minutes. When the timer goes off turn the oven off, leaving the project in the oven until it’s completely cool. Hand wash and/ or do a test run in the dishwasher.
And that’s it! He cracks me up! I’ll be on the lookout for another green mug to make him a bride!
