Today I am sharing a few simple organizing tips using ordinary things in a different way to keep items neat and tidy!
Easy Organization Ideas
Towel Rack Scarf Holder
I am a sucker for a pretty scarf. I have so many that I have collected over the years that I hardly have room for them. What’s my solution? I use a over the door bathroom towel holder rack attached to my closet door. If you get really deep hooks they will hold quite a few scarves.
Cork Necklace Holder
I got this clever idea a few years ago while visiting a friends house. She had a huge empty space in her closet so she nailed cork tiles on the wall and used push pins to hang her necklaces on them. I liked the look of the cork, so I made one for myself!
Shoe Organizer Cup Holder
Last night I was over visiting a friend of mine and fellow Pinterest junkie. We were in the middle of a conversation she reached over to open her pantry and on the back of the door was the super clever idea! Free up some cabinet space. Organize those cluttery plastic cups that your family collects by storing them in an over the door shoe holder! Brilliant! Love it!

Good ideas! I used an over the door towel rack to hold my purses and scarves. Thanks for sharing at Submarine Sunday!

What great reminders to keep this spring cleaning routine in full tilt boogie. I was doing well for a while there… time to put my organization helmet back on! Thank you so much for sharing on the Merry Monday linky party! We hope you come back this week! – Treana @ House of Bennetts
These are great ideas Kim. I keep my belts in a over the door towel holder. It makes it easy to store and keep picked up. I like your cork board jewelry holder. My mother did something similar. She stores her necklaces on the inside of her bathroom upper cabinets. She uses large push pins to hang them from. Thanks so much for sharing these ideas with us at Let’s Get Real link party.
Hi Kim. I’m stopping over from Let’s Get Real today. Thanks so much for sharing these great ideas with our readers. I have a small house with a lot of stuff packed into it. I need all of the clever organization tips that I can get!
I also have a too-large scarf/cowl collection. I am definitely going to pick up a couple of those magazine holders and make my own scarf holder! I also really liked the cork board jewelry holder. I have one of those holders that *should* spin so I can get to all my jewelry but the problem is, I also have way too many necklaces and when I spin the holder the necklaces all get tangled! Such a terrible thing!! =)
Thank you for sharing these ideas!
I love the scarf idea! I have mine on a hangar in my closet, but the closet is so tiny that it’s hard to see the scarves. I think I’ll try this:)
Such great ideas! I’ll have to go snag that door holder rack to put on the back of closet door… pinning!
I am forever looking for organization ideas. Awesome! I would love it if you would share this fab post at our WIW linky party. I hope you can join us!
