Oven Roasted Cabbage Steaks

Cabbage is one of my favorite veggies to eat. And since I am still on my low-carb diet this side dish Oven Roasted Cabbage Steaks is a delicious way to enjoy your veggies and stay on track!
Oven Roasted Cabbage Steaks Recipe

I usually saute cabbage chunks in a little oil with salt and pepper. Add water and steam until tender. But this oven roasted version is so much easier and tastier.

I have been meaning to try roasting cabbage and now that I have, I plan on adding different toppings, such as Parmesan cheese to make them even tastier. This recipe is very similar to my Oven Roasted Cauliflower Recipe. Try that recipe too for another great low carb alternative.

  1. Oh boy…. I’m now so in love with oven roasted cabbage steaks! So delicious as well as so easy. I throw in ( separately) my white potatoes cut up , with olive oil , rosemary from my garden, and salt / pepper. Might as well as my oven is on anyway..!

  2. Hi- can you please tell me the nutritional information on this? I am particularly interested in the number of carbs per steak/slice. Thank you!

    1. I found this info on another site. One cup of green cabbage has 3.8 grams of carbohydrate, with 1.6 grams of fiber, for a usable carb count of 2.2 grams, and just 17 calories. I hope this helps. Depending on how big of a slice you have. I would say one slice is about 1 cup.
