Dyeing Easter Eggs with Rice and Food Coloring
Skip the mess of soaking eggs in water and vinegar and color your eggs in rice baggies! Great for toddlers!

food grade gloves

Ingredients

hard-boiled eggs
food coloring dye

uncooked rice
1 cup per bag
Instructions
Add 1 cup of rice to 4 Ziploc bags.
Add 15-20 drops of food coloring to the rice in each bag. The more of the food coloring you add the darker the color will be.
Seal the bag and shake the rice to distribute the food coloring into the rice.
Add the egg quickly after adding the dye to the rice so it does not dry out. Seal the bag.
Seal the bag and shake the bag to color the egg and distribute the color.
Remove the egg and place on a drying rack or paper towel to dry.
You may need to add more dye to the rice when dyeing a second egg in the same bag.
Store the eggs in the refrigerator after coloring.
Notes
TIPS: You can use Minute Rice and regular rice and both worked well.
