Create this dinner classic at home! Make your own Homemade Shake N Bake Breading Mix with bread crumbs and seasonings you may already have in your pantry! Great for pork, chicken, beef and more!
4piecespork chops or chicken1/2 inch thick, or 1 lb chicken breast or pieces
¼ cupolive oil
Instructions
Set oven to 400° F.
Mix all dry ingredients together in a shallow bowl.
Drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil onto the dry ingredients and blend thoroughly.
Lightly brush each piece of meat with a thin layer of the left over olive oil.
Add meat of choice one at a time, press the meat into the mixture to coat the meat.
Place meat on a sheet pan on a metal rack. (This will help keep the bottom from being mushy).
Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meat has registered at the correct internal temperature. The safe internal temperature for pork is 150° F and chicken is 165° F.
Notes
The Traditional way to make the Shake N Bake Mix:
Add dry mixture and 1 tbsp of oil to a gallon zip lock bag or roasting bag.
Add water to moisten the meat and add them one at a time to the bag and shake to coat the meat. Bake as directed above.
