This year I found such cute holiday items in the stores to make decorations with. I spotted this cute Fox pin cushion and had to have him, then on the next isle was a ribbon that matched him almost exactly.

I love when inspiration hits you like that. It makes crafting easier when you have your ideas and materials together in one store. I got lucky that way this time. All the items on this wreath are from Joann Fabrics. Here’s how to make it~

Fox Holiday Wreath

Supplies:

Instructions:

Wrap straw wreath with felt

My wreath was sort of uneven so I wrapped the straw wreath with felt. I found it made the yarn stick to the wreath better and made it easier to wrap. You can skip that step if you wish.

make a yarn wreath

Hot glue one end of the puffy white yarn to the straw wreath and start wrapping it around the wreath.

Wrap bakers twine in a argyle pattern

Glue down one end of the bakers twine and crisscross it over and under the wreath in an argyle-like pattern.

I trimmed the back of the tree flat with scissors and cut a hole in the area near the fox’s tail so they would lay evenly fit together. Glue down the tree. Glue down the fox and then his tail to the tree. Add pics to either side of fox and tree.

Glue four mini pine cones to the ric rac trim and glue diagonally to the back of the wreath. Tie your bow and hot glue onto the wreath. I also glued a small strip of twine to the back of the wreath for hanging. And that’s it, it’s a really easy wreath to make! Check out my matching Holiday Yarn Trees tutorial! They are super easy to make as well.
