I am always looking for new ways to decorate for Halloween and one thing that Halloween can do is cause nightmares. So why not make some creepy dreamcatchers to chase them away!

These dreamcatchers are super easy to make using store bought spider webs, creepy fabric and left over craft trim. So break out your craft stash and get to work! here’s how they are made~

Supplies:

Instructions:

Spray paint the embroidery hoops and let them dry completely.

Take the hoops apart.  Lay the fabric Halloween spiderweb out smooth over the solid hoop. I think having the spiderweb off center adds more interest. Lay the top hoop with tightening screw on the bottom of web.

Press down and pull each string from the web so it is tight. Tighten the hoop screw. Trim the spider web off of the hoop. Hot glue the web string ends to the hoop so it will not shift.

Tie coordinating strips of fabric or string to the hoop bottom sides and center sections first.  Add more strings of feathers, eyeballs, wood sticks, etc.

Add a large focal spider, eyeball or in my case a fly to the hoop. Then tie a fabric strip to the top of the hoop, hang it up and that’s it! You have one eerie nightmare catcher to add to your spooky Halloween decor!

  2. This is such a good idea! I wish I decorated for Halloween this year because I’m in love with the one with the giant fly.
