Hey! I just made the cutest little summer hand DIY fan printable set, and I have to tell you about it. They have fun, summer sayings like “baby it’s Hot Outside”, and “For Resfreshment Hold in hand and move left and right”, both in bright colors and cute fonts.
To make this paper fan craft, I printed them on some cardstock and glued them to paint sticks—and boom, instant DIY fans that actually work and look adorable too. It’s such an easy project, and you can make a whole bunch in no time.
These paper fans are perfect for the backyard BBQs, outdoor events, and more. It’s a great little summer activity that’s both fun and practical when it gets hot.
If you’re doing any summer parties, picnics, or just want something cute and useful on hand, you’ve got to try these.
This paper fan craft is fun to make, totally free to print! Grab the set below.

HOW TO MAKE THE PAPER FANS:
- Print out two copies on cardstock.
- Cut out both fans with sharp scissors.
- Glue a paint stick or large craft stick to the center back of one side, then glue the other side down on the other side of the stick to over it.

Kim,
These are fantastic. I’m trying to make some for a neighborhood reunion and would like to print all of the families names on one side and the Reunion name and date on the other side. How would I edit the print on the fan. Thanks, Karen
Hi Karen,
My printables are not editable. You would have to upload the pdf file to a photo editing program to add the text.

Those fans are so cute and easy. I remember a few years ago we came off the Metro stop at the National Mall in D.C. and some one was handing out fans similar to yours due to the heat. Your article brought back good memories!
