Wispy Winter Wreath cardinals

Red Cardinals are such a sweet reminder of love, family and hope. They have a special meaning to our family with the passing of my father. They are so beautiful and pop against white snow and I thought it would be great to create that feeling on a wreath. It would make a  beautiful welcoming wreath to add to your door this winter.

This is my third wispy wreath makeover in my wreath transformation series. I took one wreath and used it for Fall, Halloween and now the Holidays.

Have a look back at the last few transformations and then see how I made this final beauty.

See my Autumn Wispy Wreath and Halloween Spooky Wispy Wreath. and my new Golden Harvest Wispy Wreath. Here’s how I made over this one for the holidays.

Winter Wispy Wreath

This wreath was my Spooky Wispy Wreath. I removed all the Halloween leaves, pumpkin and birds.

I spray painted the orange berries from the Autumn wreath and the wreath itself with the white primer.

Spray two coats of white spray paint. Right after the last blast of white paint, when it it still wet, spray a coat of spray snow and glitter, that way the snow will stick better. I had a lot of fun with the spray snow. I wanted to spray everything with it! So fun!!

Add the stems. Place the berries and pine cone stems around circle and add the nest. Spray them and wreath again with the white spray paint, snow and glitter.

Add your birds and small foliage. And that’s it! Instant Christmas! Love those Red Birds!
