Easy Yarn Holiday Cone Trees

If you noticed my last post the Fox Holiday Wreath, you would of seen these three easy trees in action! I needed something to compliment my wreath for this years holiday decor. They literally take 10 minutes apiece to make. The hard part was deciding what yarn to use. No need to buy these cute cone trees this year make them yourself! Here’s how ya make them!

Holiday Yarn Trees

Holiday cone trees out of poster board

First roll your poster board into a cone with a tight point. Hot glue the flap side down tight. Trim the bottom flat so the cone will stand up level and straight.

Glue yarn to tip of cone tree and wrap

Hot glue the end of the yarn to the tip or inside the tip, let it dry and start wrapping. I added a line of glue about an inch long horizontally down the cone as I wrap to keep the yarn snug. Glue the end to the bottom.

For the white cone I wrapped the bakers twine crisscross in an argyle pattern. Glue on your dingle ball trim or just leave them plain, and that’s it! So easy and fast to make! Check out my matching Sweet Fox Holiday Wreath tutorial, it’s super easy to make as well!
