It’s time to share my fall wreath I made last month on the Make It: Fun® Blog! It is a large wreath made from folded metallic ribbon. I hope you like it!
Fall is such a fun time of the year. I couldn’t be happier when the air starts getting cooler and we break out the jackets.
Like most of you, I love to redecorate my home for the holidays. Wreaths and pumpkins are a perfect way to start the season.
Let’s make a gorgeous metallic layered wreath adorned with the perfect pop of fall foliage to welcome your guests this year.
How to Make a Ribbon Wreath with Styrofoam
Supplies:
- FloraCraft Make it: Fun Foam Wreath: 18 inch
- Brown Fabric: 1 Yard
- 2 rolls of Brown Metallic Mesh Ribbon: 2-inch x 50 yards ~large rolls found at Costco or box stores
- Fall Foliage Picks, Pinecones, Fall Leaves
- Floral Wood Picks
- Medium Faux Pumpkin
- Rotary Cutter & Mat
- Low-Temp Glue Gun & Glue
Instructions:
Cut the brown fabric into 3 inch wide strips.
Wrap the strips around the foam wreath. Secure with hot glue as you work your way around. This is your base for the ribbon.
Cut the mesh ribbon into 10inch strips. Fold the ribbon in half and glue the fold to the outer edge of the wreath.
Repeat with the next row off-center from the first working inward toward the center of the wreath.
Add your pumpkin by using a wooden floral pick.
Remove the wire from the wood floral pick. Insert the wood pick into the bottom of the faux pumpkin and glue it in place. Place your pumpkin on the wreath.
Add wood floral picks to the pinecones by wrapping the wire around the cone and use hot glue to secure the pick. Add the pine cones and other foliage to the wreath and that’s it!
The sparkles from the ribbon make this wreath really pop in the sunlight.
Love it? Pin it!

Love your glittered ribbon wreath. It is striking. I’m already planning ahead and thinking of doing this with white/silver ribbon for January and adding snowflakes, a red cardinal, etc. Thanks for sharing this beautiful craft.
Glad you like it Barbara! Did you see my white winter wreath with Cardinals? Here’s the link. https://madeinaday.com/winter-wispy-wreath/
