Summer is almost here! Time for heading to the beach for some fun in the sun! I made some Surfin Party Cupcake Toppers, Subway art and Drink Labels a couple of years ago and since it is such a popular post, I thought it could use a little updating. I remade the original graphics to a much needed and improved resolution. Enjoy! But wait there’s more!
It’s time for the June Silhouette Challenge and this months theme is Parties! I am adding a few more items to my popular Surfin Party set!
In this post, I have added a Surfboard invitation or card made with my Silhouette Cameo. And guess what? I am providing the Silhouette Cut File and a FREE printable PDF for those of you who do not have a cutting machine! Yay!
So now you can cut out the elements of the card by hand if you need to! Next, I created matching thank you tags for take-home party goody bags and sweet water bottle labels. These all go along with the original Surfin’ Party FREE Printable Set! Let’s go make them~
Surfin Party Printables Part 2
Aloha Surfboard Card
The inside of the card remains empty so you can write your own message. That way you can use it as an invitation or for any other occasion too!
- Cardstock: 12×12 in orange, teal, red, green and yellow
- Silhouette CAMEO machine or sharp scissors
- Elmer’s CraftBond Permanent Dot Runner
Directions for Silhouette: Open the Silhouette Studio and set mat to 12 x12. Download the Surfin’ Aloha Invitation Silhouette File from this post to your computer. Open the file in Silhouette Studio. Pull the shapes out of cutting area except for the large oval surfboard and rectangle. Edit size of surfboard if needed.
Right click on Surfboard oval and click “Duplicate”. Prepare your mat and add orange cardstock. Send to Silhouette adjust settings and cut.
In Silhouette Studio pull out the surfboards and rectangle of the cutting area and add back in each shape one at a time cutting them out on desired colored cardstock. Arrange the shapes and glue each layer of shapes to surfboard as shown in the top pic.
Fold the rectangle in half longways. Add a line of adhesive to the rectangle and glue it in the center of both insides of the surfboard. And that’s it! You can either hand write a message or print a message out and glue it inside.
*If you do not own a die cutting machine, print out my PDF and hand cut the shapes using scissors. Cut out the shapes on the PDF and place them over your carstock as a guide and cut out the shapes with sharp scissors. Glue together with adhesive.
Goodie Bag Thank You Tags
- From the Silhouette Design Store: 3D Tall Box, or buy them at your local craft store

- Scissors, hole punch, Elmer’s Permanent Dot Roll Adhesive
Cut the Tall Boxes out with Silhouette Cameo. Fold and use adhesive on seams. With a hole punch, punch two holes in the lid of the box. Feed twine through the holes. Print out my Free Goodie bag Tags, cut them out with a paper cutter and/or scissors. Punch a hole in the end of the tag. Add a tag to twine, tie the twine in a knot. Trim and fray the ends of the twine.
Water Bottle Labels
- Water bottles
- Paper or photo cutter and/or scissors
- Clear tape
Print out the labels and cut out with a paper or photo cutter for clean lines. Trim with scissors if needed. Remove old water bottle label and wrap new tag around bottle and size it. Trim excess label to fit bottle and tape tightly around bottle.
