I am so excited to show you how I transformed my simple living room into a groovy boho living room lounge! It’s now a great place to hang out, where the LP player is on and cocktails are flowing. 

This room was the most underused room in our house, so we wanted to highlight it by adding a Pop of Color. Using key pieces from Costplus World Market’s Nomad Collection, I think we achieved the bohemian vibe we were after.

My husband bought me an LP player for Christmas last year, and we put it in our living room so we would actually spend some time in there.

He spends a lot of time traveling in Europe. On one trip, he sent me a picture of Jimi Hendrix’s restored apartment. I loved it so much that I used it as my inspiration for this cool boho living room decor transformation.

Fun Boho Living Room Makeover

Let me walk you through the steps to create your own ’60s bohemian den in your home.

My furniture wasn’t exactly what you would call boho living room furniture. But with some tweaks and fun pops of color, it can be transformed into a unique space to hang out.

A great way to completely change the feel of a room is by using a great boho living room rug. The Chindi Tasmin area rug is what I started to build around in this room.

I added the Black Suti Pouf to add some fun contrast. I love working with multiple patterns and textures.

The first pillow is the Embroidered Stripe Lumbar Pillow with Pom Poms. My favorite part of this pillow is the coral pattern on the top and who doesn’t love sweet poms?

For the middle of the sofa, I added a pillow that I think pulls the whole room together. It is the Oversized Multicolor Dobby Stripe Lumbar Pillow. The colors are so vibrant, it really brings the Pop of Color that this post is about.

Last is the Oversized Embroidered Suzani Lumbar Pillow with sweet multi-colored tassels. It also adds color and interest to the room.

We love to entertain guests, hang out, or just relax in the company of each other. There are usually plenty of cocktails and brews involved.

One of my husband’s favorite mixers is the Belvoir Fruit Farms Ginger Cordial sold at Cost Plus World Market. The craft beer selection in the stores is noteworthy as well.

One of my favorite home decor items to date is this Barcelona Glass Vase. It is so unique, out of proportion, and definitely a conversation piece.
