This past Spring break, we took a trip the to the beach in South Carolina. We love looking through all the gift and surf shops for unique jewelry and gifts. Growing up on the East Coast at the beach myself, I love the laid back easy Bohemian style clothing in the stores on the coast.
I found a simple leather tassel necklace in one of the stores I visited and I knew it would be so easy to make one! This is the easiest of all my tassel necklaces to create. Once you get the capped tassel made the necklace is a piece of cake!
To make the bottom tassel, first, see my posts on how to make a Capped Tassel or a Simple Suede Leather Tassel to hang as an embellishment on the necklace.
Suede Tassel Necklace
Supplies:
- Medium Brown Leather Suede string, Brown Suede Lace
- 3 beads with large holes
- Capped tassel
- 7 mm gold jump rings
Instructions:
Cut a 42 inch strip of suede string.
Add a jump ring to the center of the string.
Attach the capped tassel. Pull the tassel to the center of the string.
With the two string ends together feed the string through the 3 beads.
Pull the beads down to the tassel.
Tie the two ends in a knot and that’s it! Super easy necklace! I love it!
I loved it so much I made a matching Suede Tassel Bracelet to match!

I love this! It’s such a simple, but chic craft. I have some suede cord and beads to use up. I think I’ll make this and a bracelet. :)
Thanks so much! I love the color of my suede cord, I want to make more out of it! Glad you stopped by!
