One of the best dishes for any party or family gathering is 7 layer dip. Everyone loves the delicious combination of flavors, and it can be served as a finger food!

For a new twist on this classic dish, try serving 7 layer dip in individual cups! These cups are a fun way to make sure everyone gets their own portion and you can get creative with how they’re made.

These individual appetizers in cups combine all the flavors and textures of a classic 7 layer dip , but are prepared in bite-sized portions that make them easier to serve and eat. Plus, they look fantastic presented on a platter or arranged on a tiered tray!

Your guests can just grab a cup and go mingle! This dip can get kind of runny after it sits for awhile adding it to a cup fixes that problem. Plus, it keeps those double dippers from ruining the dip, lol.

Some tips for preparing for making this recipe

  1. For me, the guacamole did not turn brown because of it being layered between the beans and sour cream. The layers seal it in there so no air can make it turn.
  2. I kept the cups in the refrigerator for a couple of days and in my experience they are best fresh but also still good the next day. Any more than that, probably not a good idea.
  3. For even more flavor, try mixing some taco seasoning into the beans or the sour cream.
  4. I used a Mexican blend cheese, but shredded cheddar or Colby jack work well.
