This recipe so simple to make, the combination of salty popcorn and sweet candy makes it an irresistible snack. The gooeyness of the marshmallow makes this the perfect combo for this yummy treat.
You can substitute the marshmallows for white chocolate for a less mess and chocolatey flavor! Just drizzle the chocolate over the popcorn and add the candy in! Let it harden and share!
Substitutes and Additions for Bunny Bait
Maybe you don’t love the ingredients in this recipe. That’s ok, you can substitute some of them and still have the perfect treat! Try some of the combinations below.
- Instead of popcorn use: Rice, Corn or Chex mix cereal, Cheerios cereal, Rice Krispie cereal, other sweet cereals.
- Instead of Marshmallows: use 1bag and 1/2 of melted white chocolate chips or a bag of candy melts.
- Other candy to use: Reeses Pieces candies, mini Cadbury eggs, Robin eggs, regular m&m’s
- Other additions: add in pretzels, nuts, graham crackers

- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 1 ½ tbsp butter
- 1 ½ cup marshmallows
- 1 cup peanut butter M&M’s
- pastel sprinkles
INSTRUCTIONS
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Place popped popcorn in a large bowl.
- Heat butter in a small saucepan on medium heat for 5-8 minutes
- Add in the marshmallows and stir on low heat until they start to melt.
- Remove from heat and stir the mixture until marshmallows are completely melted.
- Pour marshmallows over popcorn and add the M&Ms, and sprinkles. Stir until well combined.
- Transfer popcorn mixture onto prepared baking sheet and let it cool.
- Serve or place in bags to give as gifts.
