These days it seems your handbag is not complete unless you have a tassel bag charm attached to it. This is a must to have on your beach bag.

Today I am going to show you how to make your own to update a bag you may already have to keep you up-to-date with the latest trends. This project is a really quick one since I used store-bought tassels to save time.

I found the tassels for this project on Etsy. If you want to make your own tassels I can show you how in my DIY Hoop Tassel Earrings post.

The ones I purchased are the perfect size and thickness for making tassel necklaces too. Keep that in mind if you are thinking of making some of those.

All you need is some tassels, jewelry findings, a pom maker and you will be able to dress up any bag! Let’s make some charms!

Pom Tassel Bag Charm

Supplies:

Tassels: 2 large, 1 small (Etsy)
Gold jewelry chain
Large jump rings
Lobster Clasp
Clover Pom Maker
Yarn: Hot pink
Sharp Scissors
Jewelry pliers

Instructions:

Take both premade tassels and add them to the large jump ring.

Using the yellow, smallest Clover Pom Maker make a pink pom. Add a Jump ring to the pom and add 8 links of gold chain to the jump ring.

Add the pom to the jump ring with tassels. Add a jump ring to the small tassel. Then connect 4 links of gold chain to the small tassel and add it to the main jump ring with the larger tassels and pom. Add a lobster claw clasp to the large jump ring and clip the tassel on your bag.
