I surf the Anthropologie site monthly, they have some of the coolest looking jewelry, crafty stuff and home decor. Some of their handmade goodies however are quite pricy. Every now and then I find something like, like these earrings.  That I know I can recreate without it costing a fortune.

The pretty color layers of the seed beads make them so beachy boho to me. I may need to make more colors too. They are super easy to make, all you need are earring hoop findings, jewelry wire and colorful seed beads. Let’s go make some trendy earrings!

DIY Beachy Bohemian Beaded Hoop Earrings

Supplies:

Instructions:

Bending wire with round nose pliers

Cut a small 2 inch piece of wire and smooth it out straight. Using round nose pliers, curve the wire about 1/8 in down from one end.

Add wire for beads on beaded hoop earrings

Using bent nose pliers loop it around the hoop.

With curved nose pliers, tighten the loop and wrap it snug around the hoop. Add beads to the other end of the wire.

Add beads to hoop earrings

To finish  the line of beads, bend end the wire around the hoop and pull tightly around the hoop. Trim the end and press under the edge of the hoop.

Repeat with more colors. Add your earring hook and that’s it! These earrings are super easy to make. Remember the first try bending wire is aways the hardest. The more you make the easier it will be know how to tighten the tension of the wire.

  1. Very Cool post, I definitely love Anthropologie, but it is insanely expensive on their jewelry. This is certainly an easy fix–and all the pieces and tools are less than a cost of one of their pairs of earrings. Grins and thanks, Sandi

  2. Kim, these earrings are so pretty! I have loads of beads from my beading stage of crafting and this would be a great way to use them up. Where did you get the tear drop frame earring?

    1. I’ve bought some tear drops and circle earring frames from Walmart, although they were silver colored.

      1. Hi Ria,
Those should work fine. Last time I looked Michaels has the gold ones.
