Easter is a holiday full of colorful and delicious treats! One sweet treat that many people enjoy during this time is Oreo Balls or Oreo Truffles. The best part is, it’s a Oreo balls no bake recipe! Which makes it super easy to make!

This simple recipe is made by crushing sandwich cookies and blending them with cream cheese to create a kind of cake pop or in this case an egg shaped truffle.

Then you simply dip them in candy melts to coat them, let them cure and then decorate them some more with drizzled icing and sprinkles!

The mold I used will take your Oreo Ball game to the next level by shaping the truffles into an egg shape with a silicone mold.

These sweet egg treats are perfect for spring and to serve as a dessert on Easter. You can even give them away as an Easter gift! Just package them up and bring them to your family gathering, school or other event.

How to dip Oreo Balls in Chocolate

You can use a candy fork or candy spiral spoon to scoop up the egg/ball and dip into the candy melts to coat them. If you don’t have and candy tools you can use a regular fork to dip the egg/ball into the candy melt and then take a spoon to drizzle the candy over the top of egg/ball. Place them on parchment paper and let them set for the next step.

Alternatives & Substitutes for Oreo Balls

  • Do I have to use candy melts? No! You can use regular melted chocolate chips. Ghirardelli is my favorite brand. To get the cream/yellow truffle look though you will need to use candy melts.
  • Can I use other cookies beside Oreos? Yes! You can use whatever flavor cookie you would like. Sandwich cookies work best be cause of the sweet cream in the center. Double Stuffed versions however is not right for this recipe. Sugar cookies, Golden Oreos, lemon sandwich cookies, nutter butters and more!
  • Can I use a Food Processor to make these? Yes! Add the cookies to the food processor and pulse until they are reduced down to crumbs. Then add in the softened cream cheese and pulse until the mixture is blended. Scoop out small amounts to fill the egg mold. Continue with the rest of the recipe.
