What is Summerween?

Summerween is exactly what it sounds like: celebrating Halloween right in the middle of summer. Think spooky pool parties, haunted backyard barbecues, creepy movie nights, and festive decorations mixed with plenty of sunshine.

Where did Summerween come from?

The idea first appeared in the animated Disney show Gravity Falls back in 2012. In the show, the residents celebrated Halloween on June 22nd because they loved the holiday so much.

Today, since Summerween is not an offical holiday it can be celebrated in June, July or any time during the warm summer months. It has exploded across social media, with families, party planners, and Halloween lovers creating some seriously creative celebrations.

Instructions:

Click the link below to download the PDF to print.
Print the templates out using white cardstock. Use the printer setting US Letter. Use the borderless paper setting on your printer to get the designs to go to the edge of the pages.
Trim on the “cut lines” using a paper cutter or scissors.
Tape or glue string to the back of the banners.
Fold on the dotted line and tape or glue wood skewers or dowells to the pennants.
Add tape or glue to the back of the name tags. You could also print them on sticker paper and cut them out to create an adhesive backing.
