Today I am sharing one of our favorite old-time family recipes. Beef tips with Mushroom gravy over rice. There are so many different versions and ways to make this deliciously easy dish.
What I love about this dish is if you do not have all the ingredients on hand there are other ways to throw this dish together. You can get almost the same taste every time if you know what to use or substitute.
Optional ways to Make the Gravy for Beef Tips:
- Use jarred sauce/gravy like: Franco American Mushroom Gravy or other brands of gravy, in beef or mushroom flavors.
- Another option is 1 can of Cream of Mushroom soup & 1 can of water.
Slow Cooker Beef Tips Mushroom Gravy:
This recipe can be made in a slow cooker on Low for 2+ hours or until fork-tender. Just be careful not to overcook the meat. Smaller cuts of meat will cook faster than thicker meats.
MAKE AHEAD: Place them in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
FREEZER: Place in an airtight container or freezer bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.
