The perfect and closest imitation crab salad recipe used in Subway Seafood Sensation recipe, Publix Neptune salad, and Which Wich Krab salad subs. Get it here! For more seafood recipes see my Recipe Index page.
My favorite sub sandwiches are made with imitation crab salad. Some crab salad from Subway and Which Wich has discontinued or just does not serve it anymore. Maybe they just didn’t sell enough to keep them around? Who knows.
That has made me resort to making my own crab salad recipe at home. So for a while, I would just get the Publix Grocery Store Neptune Salad and some submarine rolls and that would satisfy my cravings.
I moved away from the east coast a couple of years ago and there are no Publix stores out here on the west coast. Now I make the salad from scratch.
How to make the Subway Seafood Sensation Recipe
My fav seafood salad recipe is the Publix version. Check the link for that one. It has more ingredients than this simple crab meat salad one.
Publix stores have shrimp and celery in their Neptune salad. The other two sub shops do not. Here is my version of Subway’s Sensational Seafood Salad Recipe and the Which Which Krab Salad recipe.

Old bay. You need old bay.
I love me some good krab, and great recipe… but I never really understood what is in it? Is it like the hot dog of fish parts?
Lol, Dan you are cracking me up. Surimi is pollock fish mixed with a salt and sugar paste, then reconstructed to look like expensive seafood, like lobster or crab. I am not sure why they need to fool us.
